Dr. Xinning “Tiger” Li is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Boston University School of Medicine and Boston Medical Center. He is the chief of sports medicine and shoulder surgery, director of the BU sports medicine fellowship, and head team physician of BU Athletics. Dr. Li’s clinical interests include both arthroscopic and open complex shoulder and knee surgery. He is on the editorial board of AJSM.

Matthew T. Provencher, MD, MBA, CAPT MC USNR (Ret.) is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in shoulder, knee, and sports medicine at The Steadman Clinic and Co-Director of the Steadman Philippon Research Institute Sports Medicine Fellowship. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy with highest honors in Electrical Engineering, he was a varsity oarsman and First-Team All-American. He earned his MD at Dartmouth Medical School (AOA) and completed his orthopaedic residency at Naval Medical Center San Diego, followed by a fellowship at Rush University.
Dr. Provencher is a prolific researcher with over 450 peer-reviewed publications, eight textbooks, and numerous national and international presentations. He has received major awards from AOSSM, AJSM, AAOS, and Arthroscopy, and secured over $12.8 million in competitive research funding, helping establish initiatives such as MOTION (Military Orthopaedic Tracking Injuries Network), MPOWR (Mobile Platform for Optimizing Warfighter Rehabilitation), and BISS (Balboa Instability Severity Index Scores). He serves on the Executive Steering Committee for the $42 million DHA MOTION project.
He served as Head Orthopaedic Team Physician for Navy SEAL Teams 1, 3, 5, and 7, Director of Sports Surgery at MGH, and Medical Director for the New England Patriots during their 2014 Super Bowl season. He has also cared for the Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins, and U.S. Ski Team, and is a 2nd opinion orthopaedist for the NFL, MLB, NHL, and NBA.
Dr. Provencher has most recently been recognized with the 2025 AAOS Kappa Delta Award for shoulder instability research over 25 years and the 2025 AOSSM George D. Rovere Award for Education. He lives in Edwards, CO, with his wife and four children.

Dr. Peter MacDonald has been a professor at Max Rady College of Medicine, Department of Surgery, since 1992. Dr. MacDonald's extensive career includes serving as Head of the Section of Orthopedics at the University of Manitoba and as Past President of the Canadian OrthopaedicAssociation. He also is Past President of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons, being the second Canadian president for the societywhen he was appointed in 2022.
Dr. MacDonald currently holds clinical positions as Medical Director of the Department of Surgery at Pan Am Clinic and as Site Medical Lead at Pan Am Clinic. Additionally, he is the Chief Research and Innovation Officer at Pan Am Clinic.
Dr. MacDonald's primary areas of interest lie in sports medicine, upper extremity surgery, concussion, and orthopaedic surgery education. He is the Head Team Physician of the Winnipeg Jets (NHL) and the Head Orthopaedic surgeon of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (CFL). Dr. MacDonald is also a member of the Executive Committee of the NHL Team Physician Society. He has authored over 200 primary publications and has given over 600 major presentations at regional, national, and international levels.

Professor Pascal Boileau completed his undergraduate and graduate training in Nice, France in the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis. He is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology. He was Chairman of the University Institute of Locomotion and Sports of Pasteur 2 Hospital and Chairman of its Department of Orthopedic and Sports Surgery.
In November 2020 he founded the ICR (Institut de Chirurgie Réparatrice Locomoteur & Sport/ Institute for Sports & Reconstructive Bone & Joint Surgery), within the Clinique Kantys Centre, a private clinic member of the Groupe Kantys, where he practices currently.
Professor Boileau specializes in shoulder surgery and is one of the designers of the Aequalis shoulder prostheses family and has developed several surgical devices and arthroscopy techniques. Professor Boileau has won the Gisela Sturm prize (European Federation of Orthopaedics and Traumatology) of innovation in prosthetic surgery in 1997. He also won the Neer Award in 2005 for clinical research and several other prizes for his scientific work.
Professor Boileau has a wide-ranging scientific activity; with more than 200 articles published in peer-rereviewed journals, besides the numerous articles and chapters contributed to other publication and has edited 20 odd books. His papers are regularly selected for presentation in international and national meetings.
Every two years he organizes the Nice Shoulder Course - Current Concepts, a meeting where internationally recognized experts share their knowledge, experience and views in the field of shoulder pathology and surgical treatment.
He was the President of the European Society for Surgery of the Shoulder and Elbow from 2010 to 2012 after serving as General Secretary between 2008 and 2010. He is a member of several national and international learning societies.

Dr. Johannes Barth is an orthopedic surgeon based in Grenoble, France, specializing in knee and shoulder arthroscopy, with a particular focus on sports injuries. He is an Associate Professor at the University Hospital of Grenoble Alpes and also practices privately at Clinique des Cèdres. Dr. Barth began his medical studies in Besançon, France, and completed his residency in Grenoble, followed by a clinical fellowship in Lyon under the guidance of Dr. Pierre Chambat, and Dr. Gilles Walch. In 2003, he spent six months as a research fellow under the guidance of Prof. Stephen Burkhart in San Antonio, Texas. He later served as an orthopedic surgeon at the University Hospital of Grenoble and as an anatomy instructor. Dr. Barth earned a Master’s degree in Technology, Humans, and Society (Sports, Health, and Performances) in 2006 and started his private practice in 2007. He participated as a fellow in the ESSKA-APKASS Asian Traveling Fellowship in 2016, and has been an active member of the Francophone Society of Arthroscopy (SFA), serving on its board since 2013 and as president from 2019 to 2021. In 2013, he led the creation of the Centre Ostéo-Articulaire des Cèdres, a 1,500 m² facility dedicated to musculoskeletal diseases. Since 2012, he has managed clinical and research fellowships for residents and international surgeons. He became an Associate Professor in 2023, focusing on teaching shoulder pathologies and surgeries, and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters.
